AMC La Mirada 7 – Concession and Bar Rendering
The City of La Mirada continues to focus on revitalizing, expanding, and diversifying industrial and retail centers. The City continues to expand its outreach efforts to market key properties to potential retailers and restaurants. Several businesses are upgrading their establishments or are in the preliminary stages of developments in La Mirada. Chick- l-A, a fast food restaurant has obtained permits to demolish the building at 14303 Firestone Boulevard. It has received planning approval from the City and it is anticipated it will break ground this September. Chick- l-A is expected to open in mid-March of 2019.
AMC La Mirada 7, located at 15296 Rosecrans Avenue, is currently closed for a renovation project which includes upgrades to its auditoriums, lobby and concession areas.
Preliminary plans for the development of Thai Lady Restaurant and Café Hygee have also been submitted. Thai Lady Restaurant at 15534 La Mirada Boulevard has been approved and permits have been obtained. Tenant improvements are underway.
“These new restaurants and improvements to the movie theater will provide additional dining and entertainment experiences that families in the community can enjoy,” says Economic Development Manager Alison Moore. “The City continues to work with property owners on revitalizing and diversifying retail centers.”
