Sheriff’s Detectives Investigating Possible Homicide

Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are continuing an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was discovered on Nov. 24, 2013 on the 14300 block of Alondra Boulevard, La Mirada.
 
Shortly after 6 p.m., a male was found lying in the street in front of a bus bench on Alondra Blvd. near Heron Ave. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Aggravated Assault
An assault was reported on the 12000 block of Los Reyes Dr. After attempting to strike a responding Sheriff’s Deputy with a stolen vehicle, the suspect proceeded to ram the Deputy’s vehicle and fled. The suspect was eventually taken into custody in the unincorporated Whittier area.
 
Residential Burglary
A burglary was reported on the 15200 block of Las Flores Ave. The suspect fled the location but was taken into custody in connection with the incident.
A burglary occurred on the 14900 block of Excelsior Dr. Electronics were stolen from the residence.
Other Structure Burglary
A burglary to a storage container was reported at a construction site on the 15000 block of Alondra Blvd.A water heater was stolen in the incident.
A burglary to a storage locker was reported on the 13900 block of Ramhurst Dr. Electronics were taken from the location.
Vehicle Burglary
An attempted vehicle burglary was reported on the 12800 block of Colima Rd.
A vehicle burglary to a work truck was reported on the 14000 block of Elmbrook Dr. Various tools were stolen from the vehicle’s storage cabinets.
A window smash burglary was reported on the 13300 block of Beach Blvd. Cash and other items were reported stolen in the incident.
Two window smash burglaries were reported on the 14300 block of Rosecrans Ave. and 14000 block of De Alcala Dr. In both incidents, GPS devices and other items were taken.
Grand Theft
A firearm was reported stolen from a residence on the 15200 block of Las Flores Ave.
A purse was reported stolen from a shopping cart on the 15200 block of Rosecrans Ave. The purse and some of its contents were recovered at the location.
A camera and lenses were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a parking lot on the 14300 block of Firestone Blvd.
Grand Theft Vehicle
An older model truck was reported stolen from the 16800 block of Knott Ave.
A trailer was reported stolen from the 16100 block of Barbata Rd.
An older model Honda reported stolen from Buena Park was recovered on the 14900 block of Northam St.
An SUV stolen from Anaheim Police Department’s jurisdiction was recovered on the 11900 block of Singleton Dr. A suspect was taken into custody in connection with the incident.
