Robbery

A robbery occurred at the Goodwill thrift store on the14500 block of Telegraph Rd. A male suspect stole a jacket from the location.

 

Aggravated Assault

An assault was reported on the 15500 block of Surrey Lane. One of several suspects pointed a handgun at the victim before fleeing the residence. The incident is under investigation.

 

Residential Burglary

A burglary occurred on the 16300 block of Jutewood Court. Cash was stolen from the residence.

 

Other Structure Burglary

An incident was reported at a construction site on the 14800 block of Telegraph Rd. Various hardware items were stolen from the location.

 

Vehicle Burglary

Three window smash burglaries were reported last week. Two of the incidents were reported on the 14700 block of Firestone Blvd., however no items were stolen from the vehicles. A purse was stolen in a burglary on the 13300 block of Beach Blvd.

 

Two attempted vehicle burglaries to the same vehicle were reported on the 15800 block of Lawnhill Dr.

 

Grand Theft

Two catalytic converters were stolen from a 2002 Toyota Sequoia on the 14300 block of Rosecrans Ave.

 

Grand Theft Vehicle

A vehicle was reported stolen from the 15000 block of Excelsior Dr. The vehicle was recovered the following day by the Buena Park Police Department. Another vehicle was reported stolen from the 15900 block of Jalon Rd.

 

Disaster Preparedness Meeting for Residents – Sept 14

The City will host a disaster preparedness meeting on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the La Mirada Resource Center. The meeting will feature a presentation by City safety personnel and the American Red Cross on tips to prepare your family for disasters such as earthquakes, power outages, fires and floods.

 

Those in attendance will learn how to create an emergency plan, essential supplies needed following a disaster and how to receive emergency notifications following an emergency. For more information, call (562)943-7277.
