September 10-16, 2018 La Mirada Crime Summary

Notable Arrests

• From a recent residential burglary that occurred on Greenworth Dr.  La Mirada PSO Lomas handled the initial report and latent fingerprint investigation then provided the information to La Mirada Detective Macias.   After working to identify the suspect, on September 12, Detective Macias and the Special Enforcement Bureau served a search warrant in Watts.  They were able to take the suspect into custody and recover some of the stolen property.
• Four suspects were arrested throughout La Mirada for various warrants and narcotics violations.

Other Structure Burglary

• A late night burglary was reported on the 15000 block of Imperial Hwy.  The exact loss is yet to be determined.

Vehicle Burglary

• Two motor homes were broken into on the 14900 block of Firestone Blvd.  A flat panel TV was reported stolen.
• A late night window smash burglary was reported on the 14900 block of La Mirada Blvd.

Grand Theft

• Various tools were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 13100 block of El Moro Dr.
• A purse, cell phone and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 12700 block of Valley View Ave.
• A victim was scammed out of $1,500 in gift cards on the 15000 block of Lofthill Dr.

Grand Theft Vehicle

• A sedan was reported stolen on the 16300 block of Summershade Dr.  The vehicle has since been recovered by Norwalk Sheriff’s.
