A popular hamburger stand in La Mirada was robbed by hooded masked bandits early Thursday morning.
Norwalk Station deputies responded to the In-N-Out restaurant on Firestone Blvd in the city of La Mirada regarding an Armed Robbery – just occurred call at around 1:30 a.m.
During the investigation, it was confirmed that two suspects, described as male Blacks wearing ski masks, knocked on the locked front doors after the business was closed. The suspects were let in by a customer who was an acquaintance of the employees. After gaining access into the restaurant, the suspects threatened customers and employees with handguns and demanded money from the cash register. After discovering the cash registers had been emptied for the night, the suspects collected cell phones from everyone and exited through a side door.
Approximately four employees and four customers were inside the restaurant. No one was injured. Video footage was recorded at the location. Cell phones were later recovered a short distance away from the scene.
