An electric failure at Cerritos College on Monday night resulted in the cancellation of all classes at the Norwalk based campus.
Students and faculty members were sent a text message alert via their cell phones and text messages devices at around 9:05 p.m.
“Cerritos College has experienced an electrical outage. Please leave buildings in a safe and orderly manner. The campus will be closed until the electrical outage has been corrected. This site will continue to provide updates as they become available,” the message read.
Several students and faculty members informed Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper about the situation just minutes after the lights went out on the campus.
It is not know how many people were on the campus at the time of the outage.
