SANTA ANA (CNS) – A 21-year-old former youth soccer volunteer pleaded guilty today to attempting to molest two boys and was immediately sentenced to a year in jail and five years of probation.
Faris Ousamah Nesheiwat of La Mirada tried to lure one alleged victim to commit lewd acts between April 12 and April 20 of 2013, Deputy District Attorney Nancy Hayashida said when she filed charges in October 2013.
Nesheiwat tried to lure the other boy to commit lewd acts between March 1 and June 30 of the same year, Hayashida said. Hayashida would not say how old the boys were and declined to provide more details about the allegations when the charges were filed.
La Habra police arrested Nesheiwat in October of 2013. Nesheiwat admitted three counts of luring a child with the intent to commit lewd acts and one count of attempted lewd act on a child younger than 14, all felonies.
