Free CERT training offered

 
The City of La Mirada is offering free Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) training taught by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. This valuable course can help you protect family, neighbors, and others in an emergency situation.
 
The training program is a 20-hour all-hazards training. Lessons include fire safety, hazardous materials, disaster medical operations, and light search and rescue.
 
The course will be held at the La Mirada Resource Center on three consecutive Saturdays, June 4, 11, and 18. Each session is held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Space is limited.

Aggravated Assault
  • A suspect was arrested for assault stemming from a domestic dispute on the 16100 block of Crestline Drive. 
  • Two individuals were arrested for fighting on the 14600 block of Firestone Bvd.
Residential Burglary
  • Cash and two iPads were reported stolen on the 13700 block of Capistrano Dr.
Vehicle Burglary
  • A window-smash burglary was reported on the 16100 block of Rosecrans Ave.  A briefcase was stolen.
Grand Theft
  • A bicycle and suitcase were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 14300 block of Firestone Blvd.
  • Cash was reported stolen from a business on the 14200 block of Firestone Blvd.
  • A small safe containing cash and jewelry was stolen from a residence on the 15900 block of Rosalita Dr.
Grand Theft Vehicle
  • A sedan was stolen from the 15100 block of Campillos Dr.
  • A sedan was recovered on the 14900 block of Gagely Dr. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Anaheim Police Department’s jurisdiction.
