Get Involved, Join Neighborhood Watch
Residents interested in helping keep the City of La Mirada safe are encouraged to become involved in the Neighborhood Watch program. Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of residents in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime in the community.

Neighborhood Watch involves:

• Neighbors getting to know each other and working together.
• Training residents to recognize and report suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
• Implementing crime prevention techniques such as home security and property identification.
• Learning how to prepare yourself and your neighbors for emergencies.

Notable Arrests

• Three suspects were arrested throughout La Mirada for various warrants and narcotics violations.

Robbery

• Cash was stolen during an armed robbery on the 15000 block of Alondra Blvd. No injuries were reported during the incident. The case is still under investigation.

Aggravated Assault

• Empty beer bottles were reportedly being thrown towards passersby on the 15200 block of Rosecrans Ave. No injuries were reported.

Other Structure Burglary

• An overnight door smash burglary was reported on the 12800 block of La Mirada Blvd.
• A vending machine was broken into during a daytime theft on the 13900 block of Valley View Ave.

Vehicle Burglary

• An early morning burglary was reported on the 12900 block of Oakwood Ln. A duffle bag with a cell phone, charger and sunglasses was stolen.

Grand Theft

• A cell phone was reported stolen during a daytime theft on the 14600 block of Alondra Blvd.

Grand Theft Vehicle

• A truck was reported stolen on the 14300 block of Valley View Ave. The vehicle has since been recovered.
