Man Found Dead at Norwalk 105 Freeway Off-Ramp Identified

NORWALK — A 53-year-old man whose body was discovered Saturday morning at an off-ramp of the 105 Freeway in Norwalk has been identified by authorities.

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the man as Juan Navarrete.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Navarrete was found at approximately 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Norwalk Metro Station off-ramp from the eastbound Glenn Anderson Freeway.

The Medical Examiner determined that Navarrete died from blunt force injuries and ruled the manner of death a suicide.

CHP personnel responded to the location and investigated the circumstances surrounding the discovery. No additional details were immediately released.

The incident was separate from a fatal stabbing reported earlier Saturday near Rosecrans and Dumont avenues in Norwalk, where a 21-year-old man was killed following an altercation.
