Alert LA County is an emergency mass notification system that will be used to contact the public and businesses that reside in Los Angeles County in the event of an emergency. Recordings are sent via phone, text messages, or e-mail messages in the event of a regional emergency.
Depending on the type of emergency, Alert LA County will be used by the County’s Emergency Operations Center to notify residents and businesses of emergencies or critical situations. Information is announced regarding emergencies such as evacuations or updates on disasters affecting your area.
Residents can also sign up to receive up to the minute crime updates and notifications from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Nixle is used to stay informed of critical alerts and community news. Additionally, residents can choose how they receive this information – by SMS (text), e-mail, over the Web or by mobile application.

Aggravated Assault
- A victim was assaulted during a domestic dispute on the 14300 block of Aranza Dr.
Residential Burglary
- A burglary occurred on the night of July 22 on the 13900 block of Whiterock Dr. The suspect entered through an unlocked door and stole a backpack, wallet, and several laptops.
- Jewelry, watches and cash were stolen in a daytime burglary on July 21 from the 14400 block of Mercado Ave. A window was pried open to gain access.
- Professional grade camera lenses and a camera flash were reported stolen on the 12900 block of Ratliffe St. The approximate time of occurrence is undetermined.
- A burglary was reported on the 14500 block of Watkins Dr. The incident remains under investigation.
Other Structure Burglary
- A shed was broken into sometime during the early morning hours of July 22 on the 16000 block of Alicante Rd. The exact loss has not been determined.
Vehicle Burglary
- A window-smash burglary occurred on the evening of July 21 on the 14300 block of Firestone Blvd. A tablet was stolen from the vehicle.
Grand Theft
- Two tankless water heaters were stolen during the afternoon of July 24 from a business on the 12300 block of La Mirada Blvd.
- A purse and wallet were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the night of July 23 from the 13300 block of Beach Blvd.
