David Lee Marschke, age 76, was taken home to heaven on August 24, 2012, inLa Mirada,California.
In the spring of 2012, David was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. After a courageous battle, God graciously relieved him of his suffering.
David was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Rudy Marschke and Jerry Marschke; sister-in-law Carol Marschke; father-in-law Vinnie LePrell; and stepson Brian Ollman.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Barbara; his children: Joan (Jim) Wright, Jerry (Marlene) Marschke, Susan Marschke, Tom (Jana) Marschke and Katie (David) Hild; Barbara’s children: Glen (Kerry) Ollman, (Heidi) Ollman and David (Misty) Ollman; sisters Rosine O’Neal (Sven Bloom) and Karen (David) Mendoz; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held September 28th at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Church, 1000 N. Studebaker Rd., Long Beach. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
