Man Who Works in La Mirada Arrested for Child Molestation

SANTA ANA (CNS) – A 49-year-old man was charged today with sexually
assaulting a female relative, starting when she was 12 years old, in Anaheim.
The victim, who is 15 now, told authorities on Friday Ramon Vallejo
allegedly sexually abused her starting when she was 12, according to a police
report. As recently as last Tuesday, she said he entered her home and sexually
assaulted her, according to police.
The teen accused Vallejo of threatening to kill her mother “or told her
she would go to jail if she ever reported this,” according to the police
report.
Vallejo was arrested Friday at his work in La Mirada, according to police.
Vallejo was charged with five counts of forcible lewd acts on a child,
three counts of sexual penetration of a child older than 14, rape under duress
or menace and rape by threat, all felonies, according to court records.
Vallejo’s arraignment today was rescheduled for May 1 and he was ordered
held on $1 million bail, according to Deputy District Attorney Rick Zimmer.
If convicted at trial, Vallejo could face life in prison without the
possibility of parole, Zimmer said.
