Long Beach- “Luncheon Most Deadly,” an American Association of University Women Long Beach branch fundraiser for fellowships and research and project grants will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 with check-in at 11:00 a.m. and lunch served at 12:00 noon followed by the authors speaking. The fundraiser will be held at the Old Ranch Country Club, 3901 Lampson Ave., Seal Beach, CA 90740. Old Ranch Country Club dress code is in effect: no jeans, denim or strapless tops. The room arrangement has been “looped” for those with hearing issues.
Janet Lynn was born in New York and moved to California when she was 12. Initially interested in writing romance novels, Lynn discovered her true passion in mysteries, publishing her first novel, South of the Pier, in 2011. Since then she has published eight more mystery novels, including three more books in the Pier series, “cozy” mysteries including Eggnog, Crepes Suzette and Charlotte Russe, and her collaborative efforts with her husband, Will Zeilinger.
Will Zeilinger is a native of Omaha, Nebraska who transplanted to Huntington Beach as a teenager. A visual design artist by trade, he worked with his wife Janet in creating the 1950s detective Skylar Drake who stars in such adventures as Slivers of Glass and Strange Markings. Zellinger’s solo projects include The Final Checkpoint and the youth mystery Something’s Cooking at Dove Acres, as well as the upcoming historical mystery Bamboo Fences.
