Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are still investigating the circumstances involving the shooting spree in the Whitter, La Mirada area. To date several crime scenes have been processed and many witnesses interviewed. As of now there have not been any arrests made in connection with these incidents.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., April 29, 2017, Whittier Police Department responded to a shooting incident at a local hotel. They subsequently detained and arrested a male and female matching the description of the earlier shooting. The duo were in a stolen car at the time of the arrest and are being held at Whittier Police Department.
It is unclear whether the detained individuals are the suspects in the earlier shooting. Homicide Bureau investigators are following up on all possible leads and working with Whittier Police Department to solve these crimes.
