STAFF REPORT
Mirada Hills Rehabilitation and Convalescent Hospital, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, is welcoming a new executive director, Kristina Kuizon.
Originally from Inglewood, California, Kuizon earned her bachelor’s in health care science with an emphasis in public health administration from California State University Long Beach.
She has worked in senior care for more than 10 years and has served at a variety of skilled nursing facilities in California.
Kuizon first became interested in elder care as a 15-year-old, by visiting and serving seniors in her parents’ neighborhood. Later that same year, she began volunteering in the activities department of a skilled nursing facility.
“I love learning about who the residents are and what they’ve done with their lives,” said Kuizon. “I’m also passionate about making them happy and comfortable.”
Kuizon is excited to join the team at Mirada Hills.
“I heard about the great culture that Life Care believes in, and I have certainly witnessed it,” said Kuizon. “Also, I am a pretty flexible person, so my personality fits with the demand of our work here.”
Outside of work, Kuizon loves spending time with her large extended family, especially her elders. She also loves traveling, finding new places to explore and attending live music performances.
