5, 91, 605 Freeway Closures Start Tomorrow Night

The following overnight full freeway closures are scheduled to shift traffic lanes on I-5: *From 11 p.m. Wednesday July 31 until 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 and repeating from 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 until 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2. Northbound I-5 closed from Artesia Blvd. to Valley View Ave. Westbound State Route 91 connector to northbound I-5 closed. Southbound I-5 closed from Carmenita Rd. to Artesia Blvd. Southbound I-605 connector to southbound I-5 closed. Northbound freeway traffic will be detoured onto westbound Artesia Blvd. to northbound Valley View Ave. back to I-5. Southbound freeway traffic will be detoured onto southbound Carmenita Rd. to eastbound Artesia Blvd. back to I-5. The following closure is scheduled to install steel girders over railroad tracks for the new Valley View Ave. Bridge. From 8 p.m. Friday, August 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday, August 10: Northbound Valley View Ave. closed from Artesia Blvd. to N. Firestone Blvd. Traffic will be permitted to turn right (north) from N. Firestone Blvd. onto Valley View Ave. to access Alondra Blvd. Southbound Valley View Ave. closed from Alondra Blvd. to Artesia Blvd. Traffic will be allowed to exit Starbucks onto Valley View Ave. to return to Alondra Blvd. Business access will be permitted with flagging. Electronic message signs will be placed in the area in advance.
