June 21-27, 2021 La Mirada Crime Summary

Notable Arrests
• Five suspects were arrested throughout La Mirada for various warrants and narcotics violations.

Robbery
• A known suspect robbed a shotgun and a vehicle from a victim using force on the 15600 block of Yellowbrook Dr. The suspect was arrested a short time later.

Aggravated Assault
• During an argument, a victim was struck in the arm by an unknown object on the 15700 block of Hillgate Dr. The suspect was arrested.

Residential Burglary
• An early morning window smash burglary was reported on the 15600 block of Yellowbrook Dr.

Other Structure Burglary
• Tools and air conditioning units were reported stolen from a storage unit on the 13900 block of Ramhurst Dr.

Vehicle Burglary
• An overnight theft was reported on the 15200 block of Santa Gertrudes Ave.
• A backpack was stolen during a daytime window smash burglary was reported on the 11900 block of La Mirada Blvd.

Grand Theft
• Several display items were stolen during an evening theft on the 12200 block of La Mirada Blvd.
• Various tools were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 13700 block of La Mirada Blvd.
• A iPad was reported stolen during an overnight theft from an unlocked vehicle on the 13100 block of De Alcala Dr.
• A tailgate was reported stolen during a daytime theft on the 15700 block of Imperial Hwy.
• An attempt theft of a catalytic converter was reported on the 14700 block of Firestone Blvd.

Grand Theft Auto
• A truck was reported stolen on the 15000 block of Barwood Dr.
• A SUV was reported stolen on the 15200 block of Valley View Ave.

Celebrate July 4th Safely

The Public Safety Team reminds the community to celebrate 4th of July responsibly. The City will take a zero tolerance approach to enforcement of illegal fireworks.

The discharging of fireworks on City-owned property, including parks, streets and sidewalks, is prohibited. A $1,000 fine will be issued to individuals caught discharging or in possession of illegal fireworks.

Residents are also reminded that streets may not be blocked to accommodate parties and large gatherings. Residents hosting large parties that disturb the peace may be billed for the costs of dispersing the party.

The use of “safe and sane fireworks” is allowed on July 4 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. only. Residents are encouraged to take an active part in reporting criminal activity. To report a crime in progress, dial 911.
