A capacity crowd in the CIF Division 2A boys basketball title game last Friday night saw a doozy of a game, with the San Juan Hills Stallions rallying to beat the La Mirada Matadores 59-49.
The Stallions trailed by eight points after one quarter, but John Mc Fadden poured in twelve of his game-high 25 points in the second period.
The Matadors led 14-6 after the first period and 21-12 well into the second before McFadden took over.
.But it was their defense that also helped with the game. La Mirada had won ten games in a row en route to their first final, but they could not hit anything against the Stallions.
