La Mirada Matadores Football held their opening day Saturday Aug. 19 at Behringer Park. The very well-attended event was organized by La Mirada Pop Warner President Virginia Rodriguez and her staff. Teams consist of kids age 5-13.
The event included an opening ceremony, team introductions and a scrimmage. The La Mirada Pop Warner Cheer Team was also there to cheer the players on.
