La Mirada Recognizes LA County Firefighters for Outstanding Service

During the May 27 City Council meeting, the City of La Mirada presented a Certificate of Appreciation and a commemorative photo to the Los Angeles County Fire Department in recognition of its outstanding service to the community.

Firefighting personnel stationed at La Mirada’s Fire Stations 49 and 194, as well as nearby Station 15, have provided critical fire suppression and paramedic services since the City’s incorporation. These dedicated professionals respond to emergencies, including structure fires, traffic collisions, and medical incidents, with professionalism and compassion.

In addition to their local efforts, firefighters assigned to La Mirada also contributed to major emergency responses during the past year, including assisting at the Palisades and Altadena wildfires. Their courage, skill, and unwavering commitment continue to inspire the community and reflect the highest standards of public service.

As a token of appreciation, the City presented a framed photograph of the original Fire Station 49, once located on De Alcala Drive, to Captain David Dombrowski. The commemorative gift celebrates the legacy and bravery of those who have served and continue to serve La Mirada.
