The La Mirada High School Matadores are set to kick off the 2025 football season with a slate of tough matchups, road tests, and key home battles that will test their mettle from August through October.
The season opens on August 22 with a home clash against South Gate, setting the tone for the year. The Matadores remain on home turf the following week on August 29 to host Troy, before hitting the road to face Tesoro on September 5 and Western on September 12.
La Mirada returns home on September 19 to take on a tough La Habra team.
October begins with back-to-back away games—first at Warren on October 3, followed by a tough visit to Downey on October 10.
The Matadores then host Dominguez on October 17, a matchup that always brings intensity to Goodman Stadium. Another road challenge awaits on October 24 at Paramount, before wrapping up the regular season at home on October 30 against rival Mayfair.
This year’s schedule is split evenly between home and away games, giving Matador fans plenty of chances to support their team on the road to CIF contention.
