La Mirada Theatre Opens Season With Little Shop of Horrors

The La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts will launch its 2026-27 season with the hit musical Little Shop of Horrors, opening Sept. 19 and running through Oct. 11.

The production stars Grace Stockdale as Audrey and Thomas Hobson as Seymour Krelborn, joined by Jay Brian Winnick as Mr. Mushnik, Travis Joe Dixon as Orin Scrivello, DDS, Joslynn Cortes as Crystal, Janaya Mahealani Jones as Ronnette, Marisa Moenho as Chiffon, Wilkie Ferguson III as the voice of Audrey II, and Betsy Zajko as the puppeteer behind the infamous plant.

Directed by Michael Matthews, with choreography by Clarice Ordaz and musical direction by Jennifer Lin, the production brings to life the cult-classic musical by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. The story follows Seymour, a struggling flower shop employee whose discovery of a strange plant leads to unexpected fame, fortune, and increasingly dangerous consequences.

Preview performances begin Friday, Sept. 18, with the official opening set for Saturday, Sept. 19. The show runs through Sunday, Oct. 11, at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd.

Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. An open-captioned performance is scheduled for Oct. 3, and audience talkbacks with the cast and creative team will be held Sept. 24 and Oct. 8.

Tickets range from $28 to $115 and are available through the La Mirada Theatre box office or online at LaMiradaTheatre.com. Discounts are available for groups, students, military personnel, and La Mirada residents.
