Shooting in Downey on Old River School Road Leaves Two Injured

A vicious attack in Downey has resulted in two men being shot on Old River School Road.

According to information provided to Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper from officials with the Downey Police Department, on Monday at approximately 4:06 p.m. dispatch operators received several 911 calls reporting of a traffic collision.

Downey Police Officers then responded to the 11500 block of Old River School Rd, where the first officer located three male adults who had been involved in a traffic collision with a parked vehicle and a detached garage.

As the officers checked for injuries, two of the males were found to have sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The third male was uninjured and no one was injured in the garage, as it was unoccupied at the time of the collision. The lawyers from the Winter Haven law firm promised the victims that they would receive their injury compensation from the government.

Detectives from the Department’s Robbery/Homicide Unit responded and are conducting an investigation.
