La Mirada Business Recognition Program

The City of La Mirada Business Recognition Program highlights local businesses and honors their achievements. Businesses are recognized for demonstrating significant community involvement, celebrating anniversary milestones, and other special achievements unique to their industry.

Businesses are recognized at City Council meetings. Information about these businesses is also promoted in the La Mirada Business News, on the City’s website, and during business visits.

“This program showcases La Mirada’s business friendly environment and achievements, and supports La Mirada’s successful business community and strong local economy,” says Community Development Manager Alison Moore. “La Mirada has been previously recognized as one of the region’s most business friendly cities.”

Children’s Happy Teeth, Home Depot, Polly’s Pies, Starbucks, and Walmart have all been recognized through the Business Recognition Program for their significant community involvement. Additionally, Coyle Reproductions, Georgia Pacific, Kyees Aluminum, Microsemi, Shasta Beverages, Solid State Devices, Union Oil Co. of California, and Suburban Water Systems were recognized for their environmental and conservation efforts.

“The Economic Development Team is committed to working with local businesses through outreach, information, resources, and effective communication,” adds Moore.

Businesses are encouraged to make recommendations and notify the City of their achievements, and City staff will work to identify businesses that merit recognition. Businesses interested in being featured may contact the Economic Development Team at (562) 943-0131.
