HOLIDAY TOY AND FOOD FOR LA MIRADA FAMILIES

The community is encouraged to spread holiday cheer to those in need during the holiday season by participating in La Mirada’s annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive. Donations are now being accepted through Friday, December 14 at various City facilities. Donations of new unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items will be collected and distributed to local organizations.

Donations can be dropped off at the following locations: Activity Center 13810 La Mirada Boulevard;  City Hall 13700 La Mirawda Boulevard; Community Sheriff’s Station 13716 La Mirada Boulevard; Gymnasium 15105 Alicante Road; La Mirada Library 13800 La Mirada Boulevard; Resource Center 13710 La Mirada Boulevard; Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center 13806 La Mirada Boulevard

Donated items will be distributed to the following organizations: La Mirada Volunteer Center, Interfaith Food Center, Grace Evangelical Free Church, St. Paul of the Cross Church, and Beatitudes of Our Lord Church.For additional information on La Mirada’s Holiday Toy and Food Drive, call (562) 943-7277.

 

CERRITOS REGIONAL CHAMBER ANNOUNCES 7TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY DRIVE

The Chamber Partners with the Cerritos Optimist Club to help families in need

The Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Cerritos Optimist Club, supporting the club’s Needy Families Project. This program routinely serves hundreds of children and their parents from across the local community.

“The Chamber is so proud to partner with the Cerritos Optimist Club for this year’s Holiday Drive,” said Scott Smith, President/CEO of the Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We know how giving this community is, and each year this program grows to meet the needs of local families.”

The Chamber is requesting donations of the following:

• New Books, Puzzles, and Toys – For children of all ages

• Retail, Grocery, and Gas Gift Cards – From retailers like Walmart, Target, Ralphs, and Stater Brothers

• Non-Perishable Food and Sundry Items – Canned food, pasta, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

Donations can be dropped off at the Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce office located at 13259 E. South Street in Cerritos. The Chamber will also have donation sites in businesses spread across the community. All donated items will be presented to the Cerritos Optimist Club at the Chamber’s Annual Holiday Luncheon on December 6th. Donations may also be brought to this event, held at 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Sheraton Cerritos Hotel.

The Chamber has been helping the communities during the holiday season for seven years and has partnered with many local nonprofit organizations in the past, including Su Casa, Community Family Guidance Center, 1st CEB Adoption Committee, Tracy High School Teen Parent Program, ABCUSD Head Start Program, and BEE Smart Scholars. 

The Cerritos Regional Chamber of Commerce has been serving the region’s business community since 1963.
