LA MIRADA — Residents and business owners in La Mirada will soon have a chance to weigh in on potential increases to their trash bills as the City Council prepares to review proposed adjustments to refuse service rates.
City officials have scheduled a public hearing for June 9 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, where they will consider changes to the franchise fee structure and overall rate schedule for both residential and commercial refuse services.
The proposed adjustments are part of the city’s ongoing review of its waste management program, which includes contracts with service providers and the cost of maintaining collection and disposal services. While specific rate increases have not yet been publicly detailed, the hearing will allow city staff to present the proposal and gather input before any decisions are made.
