August 6-12, 2018 La Mirada Crime Summary

• The La Mirada Special Assignment Team arrested two individuals who they recognized from an auto theft bulletin recently distributed by the Department’s Task Force for Regional Auto Theft Prevention.   Two high end luxury vehicles and a large sum of cash were recovered during the arrest.
• A suspect was arrested on the 13700 block of Valley View Ave in connection to an assault with a deadly weapon report that occurred in Whittier County.
• Six suspects were arrested throughout La Mirada for various warrants and narcotics violations.

• A vehicle stolen at gunpoint during an early morning robbery on the 13900 block of Imperial Hwy. No injuries were sustained during the incident. The case is still under investigation.

• A late night shooting was reported on the 13200 block of Duffield Ave. A vehicle was hit several times and no injuries were sustained during the incident.

• An early morning door smash burglary was reported on the 14200 block of Imperial Hwy.  The exact loss is yet to be determined.
• A saxophone and several bottles of wine were reported stolen on the 15000 block of Badlona Dr.
• A cargo container was broken into on the 15500 block of Phoebe Ave. Various cargo items were stolen.

• A van was reported stolen on the 15100 block of Barnwall St.
• A motor home was reported stolen on the 14900 block of Firestone Blvd. The vehicle has since been recovered by Lakewood Sheriff’s.
