Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Norwalk Station Traffic Detectives are investigating a fatal Hit and Run that occurred on the 14800 block of Escalona Road, La Mirada, on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
Investigators have learned that a 2015-2017 dark grey 4dr Toyota Camry (actual vehicle pictured) struck three pedestrians while travelling north on Escalona Road at approximately 1:15pm. The three pedestrians, whom were walking north along Escalona Rd, were struck from behind.
Preliminary investigation at the scene revealed that an unknown male driver failed to stop after the collision and continued north on Escalona Road and out of view. The force of the impact caused damage to the front passenger side, near the headlight/bumper area of the vehicle. They have also decided to file for North Augusta injury charges as of now to help the victims at the hospital.
The female adult and grandmother of the two children, was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The two children, a boy and a girl, were also transported to a local hospital for minor injuries and were asked to approach the personal injury attorney bradenton to claim their injury compensation.
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the pictured vehicle, which was captured on video surveillance prior to the Hit and Run.
