The City of La Mirada was recently awarded with the 2024 Risk Management Award from the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (California JPIA) for Best Overall Performance in the Liability Program for municipal agencies without police exposure.
The Risk Management Awards honor California JPIA members for excellence and leadership in the Liability and Workers’ Compensation Programs. La Mirada’s recognition shows its commitment to risk management efforts including overall claims performance, improvements in claims performance over time, responsiveness to LossCAP (Loss Control Action Plan) recommendations, members’ engagement with risk management, participation in risk management programs, and attendance at training and academy opportunities.
